The software needed to install a NetWork copy of WinTax consists of two installation programs...
1) A System Administrator program to be installed on the computer you designate as the server. This computer may be any computer on the network system.
2) An installer program used to install WinTax NetWork programs on the individual workstations.
We also offer a 5-page instruction document, in pdf format, explaining how to install the WinTax NetWork system and setup the access paths to the
common-shared databases used by the workstations.

Please ensure that all WinTax NetWork users exit their WinTax programs until the updating process is complete!

The downloads on the left side of this page will install, or re-install, a full copy of the program. The first time you run the program after installation, or re-installation, it will require an authorisation number from Softbyte Computers to activate the program.
The downloads on the right side of this page will update existing copies of the program, already running on your computer, to the latest version of that program. The update for a particular program includes all previous updates issued for that particular program so it is only necessary to run the latest update to update any previous version of a program to the very latest version. Authorisation numbers are not required after running updates.
Note that running an update for one of our programs, or even re-installing a new copy over an existing copy, will not interfere with any data you may have saved in that program. If you choose to save the installer or update file then please DO NOT save the file to your Desktop - rather save it to your My downloads folder or even to your My documents folder.
All our WinTax programs display the version number in the "program name" line at the top of the program screen. Check this after downloading and running an update to confirm that you now have the latest version.
